Faith Formation for our Youth

Our children are a very important part of our parish.  They are the future leaders of our church, but even as children they try to live as Jesus' followers within their families, their classrooms, and their everyday lives.  As they learn more about their faith and deepen their relationship with Jesus Christ and the church, they can be witnesses to everyone they meet, and use their gifts and talents to serve others.

Parents are called to be the first teachers of their children in the ways of faith and in giving witness to their faith by what they say and what they do.   To assist parents in that mission, St. Patrick Parish offers several opportunities for catechesis.

The 2016-17 Religious Education Sacramental Preparation classes (First Penance, First Communion, Confirmation) begin on Sunday, August 7, 2016.

Both Sacramental Classes are two year programs that require parental involvement.

Registration will be held from May 22 to July 17.  The parish office will be open for registration each Sunday from 8:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. in addition to regular office hours.

Prayer for Teachers

Lord God, your spirit of wisdom fills the earth and teaches us your ways. Look upon these teachers. Let them strive to share their knowledge with gentle patience and endeavor always to bring the truth to eager minds.  Grant that they may follow Jesus Christ, the way, the truth, and the life, for ever and ever. Amen.

All children attending  religious education classes in St. Patrick Parish receive Safe Environment instruction according
to directives of the Diocese of Tucson.
